Columbus-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on April 8.
The Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce is set to host its 3rd Annual Legislative Luncheon Friday, May 3, 2019 from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm at the Lion Hills Center Ballroom.
The Legislative Luncheon will feature all six state legislators representing Lowndes County for a recap of the 2019 Mississippi Legislative Session. Set to attend the luncheon are the Members of the Chamber of Commerce. Questions for the program will be taken from Members prior to and during the event. After prepared questions, there will be a question and answer period from the audience.
“I am looking forward to our third Legislative Luncheon,” said Lisa James, CLCC President. “The goal of this event is to provide communication and transparency. The business community can voice issues that daily affect their business, while the legislators can update the business community on the 2019 session.
Legislators that plan to attend are, Senator Angela Turner-Ford and Senator Chuck Younger along with Representatives Gary Chism, Cheikh Taylor, Kabir Karriem and Jeff Smith.
Set to last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the member exclusive event costs $15 per person. Chamber of Commerce members can register at the event at http://www.clchamber.org/.
